Danny Park of SRPM Was On The Kelly Clarkson Show! 😱
NOTE: This post was originally posted on Liquor Store Dreams’ Newsletter
In honor of MLK Day, our very own Danny Park and Pastor Cue—who was also featured in LIQUOR STORE DREAMS—appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show to share their inspiring story.
If you didn't hear, Creating Justice LA has officially acquired Skid Row People's Market. The acquisition allows SRPM to further address inequities in good food access in the Skid Row community right away, while maintaining and providing community jobs and mutual aid.
““After 30 years in Skid Row, the transition of this store from its Korean owned roots into the cradle of a Black-led grassroots organization is a poignant benchmark and a timely reminder of the important and interchanging roles of peace, healing and justice in community.””
The entire LSD team is so proud of Danny and Pastor Cue! After the news broke, Danny shared that his story was discovered by The Kelly Clarkson team through a video by Jason Chu. As longtime fans of musician and storyteller Jason Chu, we’re delighted to see him share Danny’s story and receive such wide exposure.
