ALWAYS LALISA is Premiering at TIFF 2026!

TIFF 2026, here I come! I’ve been TIFF Next Wave before when LIQUOR STORE DREAMS was invited back in 2023 but I never got a chance to attend TIFF before.

I had the immense pleasure working on Sue Kim’s latest documentary, ALWAYS LALISA, as an Associate Producer and now, it’s having it’s world premiere at TIFF 2026! Woo hoo! Congrats to the entire team.

K-pop idol–turned–global superstar Lisa stars in this intimate and transformative documentary tracing her journey from childhood ambition through BLACKPINK stardom into the artist she is today.

I’m extremely excited for this premiere and to attend TIFF in general. Every time it’s festival season, it’s so chaotic so I hope to at least be able to catch some films and meet fellow filmmakers.

If you’re around, holla at me and maybe I’ll see you at the TIFF premiere?

LIQUOR STORE DREAMS is now on TUBI!

If you didn’t know already, I LOVE LOVE LOVE TUBI! They have some of the most incredible, obscure, underground, & eclectic films available and it’s ALL FREE!

That’s why I’m extra excited that my film LIQUOR STORE DREAMS is now on TUBI. I’ve always wanted people to be able to readily access my film without a paywall. Please share the news to anyone and everyone!

NEW WAVE is Premiering on the Criterion Channel & We’re Throwing a Party!

Elizabeth Ai’s NEW WAVE documentary is premiering on Criterion this September! NEW WAVE premiered at Tribeca back in 2024 and they’ve now screened over 200+ times globally! It’s been a long journey but it’s finally going to be streaming.

Mile-high hair. Synthesized music. Underground parties. Elizabeth Ai was on a mission to excavate an untold story of rebellious punks in the chaotic world of 80s Vietnamese new wave until she rediscovered a hidden past.

To celebrate the Criterion launch, we’re throwing a special party this September 17 in Atwater Village at The River LA. Mark your calendars and come party with us.

I also may be sharing a sizzle of my next film, AMERICANA BANG BANG. 👀
